Yemi
This is an excellent no nonsense white paper which clearly shows the average user the benefits of the new R12 XML Publisher techniology.
Written in language that even a techno-phobe like me could understand.
Well Done !

Hi Rebecca,
The paper is a good primer for a developer new to the area, and I found the information on the environment, profiles etc. useful. With two files (at least) instead of one, and additional data definition and layout template configurations compared with Oracle Reports, deployment is more complex with this tool, so I would emphasise the value of using the existing FNDLOAD utility for the configurations, and the new XDOLoader Java utility for the files.

Hi Rebecca,
The paper is pretty good, but I have to confess that I have never come
accross a need to set any of the profile options he is talking about (
but may come in useful one day, you never know!)
I think he could do with a bit more on the example creating of the
document as there is very little meat there, found quite a few
formatting issues there which would have been a good topic as that’s
what takes up most of the time!
Cheers,
Ian Hilliard
